COVER REVEAL FOR FOWL DEEDS, A PINE RIDGE MYSTERY....
A dead body, a cheating ex, and a police chief who’s easy on the eyes.' Meet Darby Alexander as she’s thrust into a murder investigation involving hijacked chicken and eighteen-wheelers in the piney backwoods of the Ozarks.
My writers critique group has grown to about a dozen writers of all genres. I can't stress enough how important it is to have another author read your work and point out plot holes, grammatical mistakes and typos before it's sent off for publication. These folks are all professionals and they have made my work so much easier. I encourage any writer to join a group or start one.
PROJECTS...
I've finished the second in my Pine Ridge Mystery series. It's a cozy titled (for the moment) Red Flag for Murder. The first, Fowl Deeds, was acquired for publication by The Wild Rose Press and is being published in April 2026. Both novels feature fiesty protagonist Darby Alexander and her best friend Lurlene Culpepper. I'm excited about this series and hope you will enjoy it. More to come.
My second romantic suspense novel, The Deadly Tide, is in the process of rewriting and features a different protagonist from the spunky Geri Whittier in High Desert Heat. Danielle Garrison, a former Air Force cop, gets involved in murder when her best friend overdoses. Of course she meets two interesting and handsome men as she becomes entangled in love and murder.
I'd love to hear what books you're reading. Email me through the contact form on this page. Happy reading!

ODDS AND ENDS...
I've been writing short stories, now called flash fiction, when I'm ready to let my latest novel rest. I'd like to share one with you. It's called "Everything's Bigger in Texas." I'll send it to you for free if you fill out my email contact form. It's a lively mystery and shows how seriously some of us Texans take our state.
